Pro-Choice Pro-Craft Club was a workshop by Craft Forward at The Feminist Library.
We created a a pro-choice feminist banner using various textile crafts. The banner was used by Abortion Rights UK during a pro-choice demonstration.
Knitters & Crocheters: experienced crafters were invited to knit subversive alpha pattern squares with messages of hope, resilience, and feminism.
Embroiderers: embroiders used the technique of duplicate stitch embroidery to add unique designs to ready-made knitted squares. They also embroidered scrap fabric to contribute to the banner.
Fabric Artists: we also wrote empowering messages on fabric with fabric pens to incorporated into the banner.
