During the first iteration of Blankets for Lambeth in 2020, we assembled 14 blankets and partnered with Robes Project to distribute them to people experiencing houselessness in Lambeth.
During the hardest part of the COVID-19 emergency, our project included the delivery of online workshops and talks to help people knit and crochet the squares that made up the resulting blankets. Blankets for Lambeth helped to form an incredible creative community oof individuals from all over the UK (and even some from Europe) that wanted to make a difference, and that came together in these times of hardship to help the most vulnerable of our community through arts and crafts.
